will JR Pass be worth for our travel itinerary?

Hi Daniel,

I'm travelling with my family (2adults, 2kids -4y/o and 1y/o). Initially we thought of going around Tokyo and nearby places only but plan changed as we thought of maximising our trip, and bring the kids to USJ too. Unfortunately, we have booked our airtickets earlier before realising it. (my poor planning).

8days trip
April 24 6am arriving at Haneda - going straight to Osaka
April 24 - afternoon tour in Nara
April 25 - USJ
April 26 - tour Osaka - after dinner head back to Tokyo
April 27 - Disneyland
April 28 - Disneysea
April 29 - tour around Fuji
April 30 - free and easy
May 1 - free and easy - 5pm is our flight back to Singapore from Narita.

I was thinking of purchasing JR ordinary pass and Osaka amazing pass to cover some of our itineraries. It will be greatly appreciated if you have better options/suggestions for us.

Hi Marie,

I would agree with you, using a 7-day JR Pass from day 1 to day 7 would give you good savings, the JR Pass also covers local JR trains around Osaka and you may not even need to Osaka Amazing Pass (unless you want it for the access it gives to tourism places).
