Hi Daniel
We are going to stay in Intercontinental Hotel In Yokohama.
We have to go to Tokyo starting around 8 am from the hotel. Can you please tell us the complete route from hotel to Kyoto, we will be using JR pass. Can we take a direct bullet train from Yokohama station to Kyoto?
Also next day we have to go to Nara. please let us know from which station we have to take JR line train (the name of the train) to Nara. Name of the train etc.
I shall be highly grateful to you for the information.

Hi there,
Assuming you start at Yokohama station, take a local train to Shin-Yokohama station. There you can get on the Hikari Shinkansen bound for Kyoto (departs every 30min or so).
For Nara, take the JR Nara line for Kyoto station to Nara station, it is as simple as that :)
