Hello!
I'm planning a trip to Japan soon and I think the JR pass is the best option. Our itinerary is:
-Tokyo-Hakone
-Hakone-Nara
-Nara-Kyoto
-Kyoto-Osaka
-Osaka-Kyoto
-Kyoto-Tokyo.
However, I am not sure if I can use the JR pass on any lines to go from Hakone/Odawara to Kyoto/Nara. Is there a line that covers this journey for which I can use my JR pass to travel? Or do I need to pay for the tickets separately?
And another question, is it necessary to book the seats/tickets for each trip or can you access the trains without reserving a seat/ticket? I understand that in the case that I needed to book the tickets this can only be done in train stations in Japa, right? I can't book them in advance from Spain, can I?
Arigato!
