Hi,
My family and I (6 of us) are traveling to Japan Sept 26-Oct 10, 2020 (2 weeks) and would like to visit Tokyo-Hakone-Kyoto-Osaka-Hiroshima and then back to Osaka for our flight home. Would the JR Pass takes us to all those locations and would it be better than getting individual passes? Also does the JR Pass let us use any trains, subways, bus, etc.. in those cities? Thank you in advance!

Hello Christine,

The JR Pass will cover travel between all these places, allow you to use the urban JR trains in cities like Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. As well as local JR buses, like the Hiroshima sight seeing bus and the ferry to Miyajima. Other travels like the Metro is not included in the pass.

A 7-day JR Pass would be the best option if you can include travel to Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and back to Osaka with it.

Kind regards,
Daniel
