Hi there
Please could you advise on train travel for this route?
Would it be more cost effective to buy a JR pass or buy separate tickets for each leg of the journey? I need to get from Tokyo to Shin Aomori and then onto Sapporo within 5 days. This is just a one way journey. TIA

Hi there,
You can use the Hayabusa Shinkansen from Tokyo to Shin-Aomori, and ltd. express train to Sapporo.
The cost of a 7-day JR Pass is similar to a one way ticket Tokyo - Sapporo, so a JR Pass could be useful when you'd cover any additional travel with it.
Kind regards,
Daniel
