Hi, I am planning to stay in Tokyo about 3 days, and another 3 days in Kyoto/Osaka. Will it be worthwhile to take JR Pass (7 days) or are there other passes that will save me more? I plan to utilise public transportation (trains - preferably JR, Shinkansen). Appreciate your advise.

Thanks!

Hi there,

The 7-day JR Pass is the best option for this trip. It will get you on the Tokaido Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kyoto and Osaka and is the fastest option. There is no other pass that covers the Tokaido Shinkansen, so its an easy choice :)

Kind regards,
Daniel
