Still refining my itinerary...
I read that Hokkaido Shinkansen ( Tokyo - Shin HAkodate ) is operational since last year.
How come route does not appear on HYPERDIA as from Tokyo to HAkodate on OCT 1 date?
CAn JR pass be used on this?

Hello,
You must put in the exact station name - for Hakodate it is SHIN-HAKODATE-HOKUTO as shown here. Yes, your JR Pass will work fine.
