Hi, hope somebody can help!
I struggle which kind of JR Pass is more suitable for me.
My itinerary for 9days cover below location
ETA Nagoya
Go to
Kamikochi (via Matsumoto)
Takayama
Toyama
Shirakawa-go & Gokayama Gassho-style village
Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route
Kurobe Gorge Railway
Osaka ETD

Shall i buy 7 day JR pass or only Alpine-Takayama-Matsumoto Tourist Pass or Takayama-Hokuriku Area Tourist Pass?

Hi there,

The Alpine-Takayama-Matsumoto Tourist Pass is for when you do the Tateyama Kurobe alpine route but only valid for 3 days.

While, the Takayama-Hokuriku Area Tourist Pass is a much better fit for your itinerary overall, it is valid for 5 days.

So you might be able to do 3 days with the first pass , then 5 with the other.
