Hi dear staff of Japan Rail Pass,
We would also like to know if the JRP covers our deplacements by subway, bus or other means in Tokyo and abroad (as Kamakura) from 16th (arrival at HND airport) until 18th November and from 26th until 29th November (departure at NRT airport).
Many thanks in advance for your kind attention.
Best regards
Doris
stay in Tokyo in November 2018 : JRP covers subway or other means?
Hi Doris,
The JR Pass covers all JR lines nationwide, including the Shinkansen and also local JR buses. Other transport like the Tokyo Metro is not included, or buses run by other companies.
Travel to/from Narita and Haneda is covered, as well as to Kamakura. The JR Pass will help you make the best savings when used for intercity trips on the Shinkansen. Think of Tokyo - Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and so on.
You can use the JR Pass Fare Calculator to find an approximate ticket cost of a single route or even your full itinerary.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
Dear Daniel,
your answer is great and clear and it helps us very much to continue in the preparation and understanding.
best regards
Doris
