Hi

We are going to be in Japan for 14 days in July and our itinerary is looking like the following :

Tokyo - 3/4 days
Climb Mt Fuji and explore surrounding park - 2/3 days
Kyoto - 2/3 days
Osaka - 2/3 days
Back to Tokyo for departure

We are thinking the 14 day pass might be the most cost effective to do this though the calculator does not necessarily show it this way. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi there,

My suggestion would be to get a 7 day JR Pass to make the trip to Kyoto, Osaka and back to Tokyo. These are the trips that will cost the most by far and where the JR Pass would be used effectively.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
