Hi
My husband and I are going to Japan in September for 14 days. We are staying in Tokyo for 6 nights and Kyoto for 7 nights.

In Tokyo (day 1-6) - we only plan to go to Hankoe for a day trip on day 5

From Tokyo we travel to Kyoto on day 7 and we plan to go on day trips to the following places as well as exploring Kyoto for few days.
1. Naoshima
2. Himeji castle
3. Miyama
4. Possibly Hiroshima depending on time

On day 14 we travel Osaka and flight ou from Osaka.

Is JR pass our best option?
Thanks

Hi there,

I would recommend a 7 day JR Pass for sure if you can cover travel to Naoshima, Himeji, Miyajima and back to Osaka within its validity period.

You can use the JR Pass Fare Calculator to find an approximate ticket cost of a single route or even your full itinerary.

Kind regards,
Daniel
