I will be arriving in Tokyo on June 28th. Before I can make any reservations I will need to activate the the exchange voucher.
I will be purchasing first class JR passes.
Do I need to make reservations on the bullet train prior to the day I would leave for Kyoto or can do the same day?

Hi Arnold,
On normal days it is fine to do so on the same day, though personally I like to do it a day ahead of time, so it will be easier on the day of travel.
