Pass Activation & Office Opening Hours

Our flight lands at Haneda Airport at 19:00 and we want to use our travel passes straight away.

However, it seems the office at the airport will already be closed by then. So even though we've paid for these expensive travel passes which everyone says are great value, it seems we still have to pay for travel to get to a place to activate them. I feel a bit cheated by JRPass because of this.

Has anyone had a similar experience or is there another way of activating your pass i.e. are there later opening times at offices close to Haneda airport?

Thanks anyone for any advice they can give.

Hi there,

You could go to Tokyo and exchange the pass there. However do keep in mind that the pass is counted in days from midnight to midnight and the first day is counted a full day, it may give you better value using that day elsewhere and paying one way Haneda into Tokyo out of your pocket.
