Hi there,
My wife and I are travelling around Japan for 10 nights in from April 8.
We arrive in Osaka for one night before travelling to regional Kyoto near Sonobe station. We then go back to Kyoto for 2 nights before heading to Tokyo for 4 nights.
I was thinking of buying a 7 day JR pass and activating it from our day of arrival for 7 days. As we'll be in Tokyo for the remaining 3 days, I thought we could just use local metro transport within Tokyo and get another form of transport to Tokyo Narita when we depart.
Do you think a JR pass is worth it for this type of itinerary? Am I able to use the JR pass to travel to the outskirts of Kyoto too when going to Sonobe station? Or would you buy separate tickets for an itinerary like this.
Thank you and looking forward to hearing your feedback!
