Hi, here's our itinerary for Nov 14-22 Japan trip.

Day 0- 9PM Arrival at Nagoya
Day 1- Explore Gamagori, Nagoya
Day 2- Travel from Nagoya to Tokyo; explore Tokyo
Day 3- Tokyo
Day 4- Tokyo to Kyoto; explore Kyoto
Day 5- Kyoto
Day 6- Kyoto to Nara; Nara to Osaka
Day 7- Osaka
Day 8- 6PM Departure at Osaka

Is it more convenient and cheaper to use the JR pass based on this itinerary?

Thanks.

Hi there,

While the difference is not too big, right now it would be cheaper to buy normal tickets as you travel instead of a pass.

You can use the JR Pass Fare Calculator to find an approximate ticket cost of a single route or even your full itinerary.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Thanks Daniel! Is it okay to take a plane from Narita to Kansai, instead of taking a train?
