Hi,
I need to travel from Osaka to Fukushima, then to Kyoto within a week.
I am having trouble finding which train will go from Osaka to Fukushima, is it the West JR or East JR lines, or both (via Tokyo). Can I use a JR pass for this entire route, or separate tickets?
Can I buy a pass in Japan or only in advance?

Hi there,
The route is two fold, take a Shinkansen on the Tokaido line between Shin-Osaka and Tokyo station, then take a Shinkansen from Tokyo to Fukushima on the Tohoku line.
The full route is covered by the JR Pass, these routes are operated by JR central and JR East.
