Hello,
I would like some help with travel tips between these places as we can't get to see the best options available.
We would live to travel:
From Kyoto to Koyosan
then
From Koyosan to Kanazawa
then
From Kanazawa to Matsumoto
then
From Matsumoto to Tokyo.
Would anybody be able to help?

For this route I would buy normal rail tickets, there is no pass that matches your itinerary and would help you make savings.
You can use the JR Pass Fare Calculator to find an approximate ticket cost of a single route or even your full itinerary.
