jr pass on ltd exp

Hi there,

The JR Pass is valid on all ltd express trains operated by JR. I don't have a full list but I can let you know for sure if you have any train name services (liek Hokuto).

Hi again Daniel-san..:) these are some of the ltd exp trains (aside from hokuto) that we will probably ride on our planned itinerary.. ltd exp thunderbird, shirasagi, hida, shinano, azusa, hitachi, tokiwa...we haven't finalized our itinerary but i saw in hyperdia that somehow we will ride in these trains..i know its all over the place but please let me know if these are covered by jr pass..and last but not the least, are rapid line services also covered by jr pass?..thank you so much for your help..

Hi Debbie,

These are all ocvered by the JR Pass. Rapid services are just local lines that don't stop at every station and covered by the JR Pass as well.
