JR Pass from Narita Terminal 2 to Shinjuku

Hello,

I am trying to get from Narita Terminal 2 to Hotel Gracery Shinjuku. My plane will be landing at 3:25 PM on July 6th and I will have to pick up my JR pass along with the wifi box which I also purchased through JR Pass. I'm assuming that should take around 1 hour - 1 1/2 hours (for baggage claim, Visa, and JR Pass/wifi box). From there, how will I get to my hotel in Shinjuku?

I looked on hyperdia for different options but I don't understand how Option 1 lets me take the Narita Express 38 then has 'JR Chuo Special Rapid Service for TAKAO' with arrival in Shinjuju whereas Option 2 only has Narita Express 38 with a direct arrival to Shinjuku? If someone could give me a more detailed explanation so that I could understand alongside with what is covered by my JR Pass and what I would have to pay for in order to reach Shinjuju from NRT. Thank you so much!

Hi there,

60-90 minutes is a fair estimate to navigate Narita Airport and get on the train.

The best way to Shinjuku station would be to get on the Narita Express, this is the fastest and most comfortable. You can also use local JR lines like the JR Chuo service. Sometimes this may fit your schedule better.

You can find the Narita Express time table here. Look for the one's that stop at Shinjuku station.
