Hi Daniel San,

I gonna travel to japan in october, will be arrive at Narita Airport in 1 october at 16.45 pm and want to travel to Osaka in same day.
I know that i have to go to tokyo station by narita express but i am not sure can we arrive at Tokyo station in time and can we go to osaka in same day using the JR pass?
If we can go in the same day could you give me suggesstion about where to go,what station that we have to go after we arrive at Tokyo station to catch train to Osaka?

Hello there,

While possible it would be a hasty transfer. The last train connection to Osaka with the JR Pass departs around 18:48. That leaves you 2 hours to go through immigration, collect your luggage, exchange your JR Pass and book your tickets. It is possible but your plane could be delayed, there may be a long queue at immigration or at the JRP exchange point.

If you do want to give it a try, then you can find the route here.

Otherwise I would recommend staying the first night in Tokyo, or perhaps Nagoya and travel on the following day.
