I want to ask can i use jr west to get to osaka from tokyo, then using it again to get back to tokyo from osaka,thanks! Or should i buy another jr pass and which one?

You can use the Japan Rail Pass for this trip.
The trains between Tokyo and Kyoto are managed by JR Central.
