Hi Daniel San
Please can you advise us whether it would be cheaper/more convenient to purchase either a 7 days Japan rail pass or Hokuriku pass plus extra tickets for our April Japan trip....we are 2 adults + 2 children with accommodation booked in this order: Depart Tokyo to stay in Kyoto (for 3 nights) then to Kanazawa (1 night) then to Takayama (2 nights) then back to Tokyo on the 7th day.
Many thanks
Sam

Hi there,

For your trip you could definitely use a Osaka-Tokyo Hokuriku Arch Pass. It will cover all your travel and help you make good savings. The only down side is that you have to travel back to Tokyo via Kanazawa. On the bright side, this is a good excuse to make a stop over at Nagano and see Zenkokuji :)

Hope this helps,
Daniel
