JP work for the metro?jp pass or individual tickets?

I)Hello my name is Mariana I would like to know if the JP pass works for all the trains included inside the city of tokio and kyoto.
For example:
I have to take the transport from Haneda Airportto to Shinjuku and then to Okubo station.
I will stay 2 day in kyoto, may i use the jp pass?

2)my schedule will be airport- tokio
tokio-kyoto
kyoto arashiyama-kyoto
kyoto -airport tokio.
will be best to buy indivudial tickets or the pass?

finally: If i buy in the web may i activate in the airport?

Hi Mariana,

For travel times, I recommend learning to plan with Hyperdia this way you can find any route/timetable and more. It's a great tool for planning with the JR Pass. We also have a useful interactive map with all JR lines included.

You can indeed activate the JR Pass at the airport.
