I would love your help with this query.
We have bought a 14 day JR pass for the duration of our holiday.
Whilst in Kyoto we are very keen to do a day trip to Ine No Funaya.
My question is, is there a train from Kyoto to Amanohashidate ?
Is the bus journey from Amanohashidate to Ine no Funaya covered by JR pass if not where can we purchase a return ticket from ?

Hi Nigel,
There is indeed a train going directly from Kyoto to Amanohashidata but an extra fare applies using the JR Pass, as part of the route is on a private railway.
