I will be travelling to Hokkaido this coming autumn together with my friends (8 pax). Our travel itinerary will be starting from Asahikawa-Abashiri-Sapporo-Hakodate. We plan to travel mostly by JR train. I understand there is no 14 day Hokkaido Rail Pass only 7 day pass is available.
1. Can each person purchase two 7 day pass at one time.
2. The reason we prefer Hokkaido Rail Pass then JR Pass is the car rental discount for HRP holders as we may need to rent cars for certain part of the itinerary, example Akan National Park.
