Hi! Im a first time user of JR Trains. Would like to ask your procedures in handling luggages. Im travelling on a 3 hour train trip from Nagoya to Kanazawa. We have huge luggages with us to cover for a 12 day trip. How do we handle luggages? Do we check it in just like in an airplane? Please advise
Handling luggages

Hi there,
The official guide lines for luggage are as follows: You may bring up to two pieces of baggage on board free of charge. For each bag the total of the length, width and height must not exceed 250 centimeters, the length must not exceed two meters and the weight must be no more than 30 kilograms.
This however is not strictly enforced as it is on airplanes and luggage is generally allowed, as long as it does not inconvenience other passengers.
Just bring your luggage with you on the train and place it in any of the luggage compartments.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
