We will be travelling from Hakodate to Tokyo on Dec 30 in part via Hayabusa (reserved seats only). We will arrive Tokyo on Dec 20 so can make our advanced reservation for Hayabusa on that day. Do you foresee any problems with reservations given that it is the high season and many people will be travelling? Thanks.

Hi there,
10 days should be fine, you can also reserve the Hayabusa via: http://jreast-shinkansen-reservation.eki-net.com/pc/english/common/timetable/index.html
This website only works for trains run by JR East, other trains such as the Tokaido Shinkansen can't be reserved in advance using this website.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
