From Haneda Airport to Osaka

Hi There,

I will be reaching Tokyo Haneda Airport on the 9th March '17 @ arnd 6 am and would like
to travel straight to Osaka, which I will be going to stay near to TENGACHAYA station.

Can you advice what are the options that I could take? JR Line?
How do I go about taking the JR Line ?
There will be a total of 4 adults + 1 child.

Upon reaching Osaka, does the JR pass covers the rail to Tengachaya station too?

Also, please advice which would be more convenient to travel from Haneda Airport - whether
to Osaka or Kyoto? Or both the same?

Please advice.

Hi there,

You can travel on to Osaka right away but keep in mind that the JR Pass exchange station at Haneda opens at 7:45. You will have to exchange your JR Pass before you can start using it.

The route looks as follows: take the Tokyo Monorail from Haneda to Hamamatsucho station, there transfer to the JR Yamanote line bound for Tokyo. At Tokyo, take a Hikari Shinkansen to Shin-Osaka. You can use local trains from Shin-Osaka to Tengachaya.

Tengachaya is not a JR station and you'd have to buy a normal ticket from Osaka station for the Osaka subway. An alternative is to travel to Shin-Imamiya station, which is the closestjR station.

Osaka and Kyoto are very close, it does not really matter which you'd pick.
