We are arriving in Osaka (Kansai Intl airport) on July 14.
We want to activate our 14 day JR Rail Pass on July 15 (so we can use it on July 28).
We've also ordered a pocket wifi for July 14 (when we arrive).
My question: do we have to have our JR Rail Pass activated in order to pick up our pocket wifi?

You can start using one without the other :)
