Hi, want to plan a day trip to kamukura but don't want to activate my 7 days JR Pass as yet. What are my options to go from Higashi-Shinjuku station to kamakura return and to see various sites.

Hi there,
Just use local JR lines to travel to Kamakura, these won't cost a lot and will get you there in about 1 hours.
The JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line has direct service from Shinjuku to Kamakura.

I'm planning to use the seico card which comes with the Keisei Express ticket from Narita that I'm planning to purchase on arrival. Can i use this to travel to and around kamakura? Do i have to purchase a separate ticket to travel around kamakura?

Yes, you can use the Suica card for travel to Kamakura.
