I will be traveling to Japan in the middle of May.
My two possible plans:
Narita to Tokyo (stay for 3 nights) to Osaka (5 nights) (daytrips to Kyoto and Nara, and maybe another close by city) to Tokyo (1-2 nights)
Should I get 7 day and pay as I go for the remaining days, or should I get the 14 day pass?
What is the chance that I still need to buy another transit company pass to travel around Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto? Or Does the JR Pass is sufficient?
Do I need to make a reservation to travel from Narita to Tokyo? How far ahead do I need to make the reservation?
What about reservation to and from Osaka?
How long does it take between Narita and Tokyo, and Tokyo to Osaka?
My second plan:
Narita to Tokyo (stay 4 nights) to Osaka (stay 5 night; daytrips to Kyoto, Nara and nearby cities) to Narita. How long does it take to go from Osaka to Narita? How many trains exchanges?
How far ahead should I purchase my passes if I am Canada?
