Hello, I travel in 2 weeks to Japan. If I buy the JR pass online, can I reserve the seats now knowing that it is less than one month prior to the trip? Or do I need to first activate the pass upon arrival to the country.

Seats can only be reserved once you have activated the JR Pass. Please see:
