Would it be cost effective to buy a 7 day pass or pay "as I go"
I will travel from Nagoya downtown to Kobe,Osaka and on to Fukuoka ,just one way, stopping for a day or two in each city.
Thanks

Hi there,
I think buying normal tickets will be cheaper, a one way Nagoya - Hakata is around 20.000yen. You can ask the JR Staff for a ticket that allows for stopover without any additional cost. This would allow you to make a stop in Kansai.
Further details can be found here.
Kind regards,
Daniel
