I want to know the fastest or best way to travel to kyoto using the JR pass from Asakusa, I'm not sure if there's a good way to go directly from asakusa or if I need to go to the bigger parts of the city. I will also have a Suica card for other trains.
Best way to get to Kyoto from Asakusa(tokyo) with JR Pass?

Hi there,
The best way to get to Asakusa is to use the JR Pass to travel to Ueno station (Shinkansen from Kyoto - Tokyo, then Yamanote line to Ueno), from there use the Tokyo Metro (Ginza Line) for the last part. Unfortunately there is no JR Station directly serving Asakusa. The Suica pas will be a great help for getting on the metro.
Hope this helps!
Daniel
