Hi!

We are booked for our Tokyo (X2 nights) arrival via Narita Airport & Osaka (X 2 nights) plus a plan for a Day trip to Kyoto this February, Also,, departing outbound via KAI Kansai airport.
We surely would like to experience the Shinkansen bullet train ride as well.
Planning on visiting couple of landmarks (Shibuya crossing, Hachiko statue, YAYOI Kusama museum, Pokémon museum, Temple/s, Tokyo tower. Then in Osaka, planning to see Castle, Shrine, maybe a Kabuki show, maybe the Observatory.
Whew!!! I’m tired already.!! J
Just wanted to ask if JR Pass is best suited for us or what is the best recommendations, that certainly won’t break our wallets for this short hectic trip?

Thanks!

Hi there,

What I look at when trying to find out if a JR Pass works for you, is what long distance trips you have in your travel plans. These cost the most and is where savings can be had with a pass.

For you, this is just a one way Tokyo - Osaka, and that would not be enough for a pass to help you make savings. As such, I suggest just buying a train ticket.

Kind regards,
Daniel
