Hi I am travelling to Japan for nine days
I plan to stay in Tokyo for five days and then go from Tokyo to kyoto on the sixth day
and then return back to Tokyo on the ninth day
in between, I would like to do a day trip from Kyoto to Osaka
would it be advisable to take a seven day J Rail pass for this kind of travel or individual tickets would be better. I can activate the JR on the 3rd day of my.trip to last me.the rest of the trip
also, I want to understand if the J Rail covers the within city Metro in Tokyo and Kyoto
please advise

Hi there,
You would not make savings with a JR Pass on this trip, so my suggestions would be normal tickets.
All the best,
Daniel

So how do I reserve the normal tickets? On the fast bullet trains? And how to travel within the city? I am unable to understand the things to do in Kyoto and Osaka. Kindly suggest
