Hello, I’ll reach Japan on 8th to 26th December. My itinerary roughly as per below:
Day 1 Osaka
Day 2 Osaka-Nara-Osaka
Day 3 USJ
Day 4 day trip to Kyoto
Day 5 day trip to Hiroshima (JR pass day 1)
Day 6 Osaka/ day trip to Kyoto
Day 7 Osaka-Takayama (JR pass day 3)
Day 8 Takayama with day trip to Shinhotaka Ropeway & Hirayu Onsen
Day 9 Takayama-Shirakawago-Toyama-Karuizawa (JR pass day 5)
Day 10 Karuizawa
Day 11 Karuizawa-Tokyo (JR pass day 7)
Day 12 till last day will be stay at Tokyo with daytrip to Hakone, Mt Fuji, & maybe Gala Yuzawa.
My questions are:
Is it wort to buy the 7days JR pass as I’ll not be using it everyday? From the JR pass calculator, my pass still paid back all the trips that I make. Or do you have any other sugestion?
What kind of pass that I should use in Osaka because maybe I’ll have few daytrip to Kyoto?
What kind of pass should I use in Tokyo that can be used to go to Hakone-Mt Fuji & Gala Yuzawa?
Looking forward for your review & suggestion. Thank you.

Hi there,
Yes, a 7 day JR Pass will definitely be worth it for this trip. Within Kansai, you can look at using a Kansai Area Pass.
For Tokyo I'd look at a Tokyo Wide Pass.
Kind regards,
Daniel
