JR Buses - does the JR Pass work?

Hi, I'm intending to visit Japan again at the beginning of May and read about the pass. It seemed expensive at first, but now I calculated that it pays off: you don't have to stay at one city all the time, you can have a one-day trip from Osaka to Nikko or to Izumo, Amanohashidate or Kyoto like I intend to.

Here's my question, I would like to use the West Japan JR bus, a Keihoku line in Kyoto to visit some spots. Will the JR pass work on this bus line as well?

Hi there,

Yes - you are also free to use all local JR bus lines with the Japan Rail Pass. You can also use some highway buses (buses that go travel between major cities on the highway). For a full list of these highway buses, please see our validity page.

Hope this helps!
