My husband and I are planning a 10-day trip to Japan arriving in Osaka and staying in Kyoto. We will spend 3-4 days in Kyoto and take day trips by train to nearby towns: Osaka, Nara, Kobe, Nagahama, Enryukuuji. Which pass would be best for us? Thanks

Hi there,

Travel within the Kansai Area does not cost much and generally just buying normal tickets works fine. A JR Pass is better if you travel longer distances, say to Tokyo or Hiroshima.

Kind regards,
Daniel
