Hi, We are travelling in March and was wondering if we can upgrade from reserved to Gran class from Tokyo to Kanazawa, with the pass.

Hi there,
Yes, you can upgrade to Gran Class. The JR Pass only covers the basic fare, so you must pay the following surcharges at a JR Ticket Office:
- Kagayaki: JPY 24,160
- Hakutaka: JPY 17,360
