Hello everyone,
Unfortunately I'm quite confused with all the traveling by train in Japan. So to avoid further headaches, I will just ask now.
I'm going to be in Japan with a friend for two weeks. Mainly to visit the EXPO, second week in Okinawa so that is not the issue.
But in the first week, I will to go the route as written above.
Landing in Narita, going to Tokyo for two days, from there a two days trip to Hiroshima and from there back to Osaka, three days before taking a flight to Okinawa. I'm planning on getting a "Welcome" IC Card as soon as I'm landing to be able to use Tokyo and Osaka Metro/Subway. But as far as i understand, this does not get me into Tokyo city from Narita.
So my question is: Does it make sense to buy a local Railpass for Tokyo and Osaka or should i just use my IC whenever possible and buy single tickets for the three long journeys in between, since i can't find a pass for all these areas combined. And i dont want to buy the big one, since its unnecessary for the short time.
Please help me out here.
Yours sincerely.
Jakob
