If staying in the Kansai area for more than 5 days, can you purchase the Kansai Wide Area Pass within Japan multiple times? If one is staying there for 13 days, what pass would you recommend?

Hi there,

Yes, you can use this pass more than once.

However, whether this would be the best option will depend on where and how much you travel.

We'll be staying in Osaka for 6 days and Kyoto for 6 days, with day trips to Universal Studios, Himeji, Nara, and Kobe.

If we purchase Kansai Wide Area Passes, after 5 days, we can purchase another set? And then after 5 days, purchase again? Is that allowed?

Thanks!

Yes, you can do so when buying your passes outside of Japan (I believe a limit of 1 pass per trip applies for purchases within Japan). The pass will be good for day trip to cities like Himeji, Nara and Kobe. I'd also recommend take full advantage of the pass and use it to explore places like Kinosaki Onsen, Kii-Katsura and Kurashiki.

Kind regards,
Daniel
