We two are arriving Japan on 19th April and would be departing on 1st May if I order one Alpine pass for 5 consecutive days and another JR pass for rest 7 days is fine and can I activate Alpine pass on day 3 or 4 of arrival and JR pass on 6th Day?
since booking page require Japan arrival day for Alpine pass; is it possible to activate pass on required day and date?

Hi there,

The date during check-out is only an indication and is not binding in any way. As long as you activate your JR Pass within 3 months of purchase, then everything works out.

You can activate one pass after the other, no problem at all :)

Kind regards,
Daniel

Thanks, Deniel
Also clarify if regional pass will work for journey forward from Tokyo to Matsumoto and return from Takayama to Nagoya and Nagoya to Kamikochi ?

Hi again,

This ticket is meant to access the Alpine route via Nagoya or Toyama.

Travel to Tokyo, or Kamikochi is not included.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
