I am planning on spending 7 days in Japan, 3 in Tokyo, 2 in Kyoto and 2 in Osaka. I am planning on taking the Shinkansen only once from Tokyo to Kyoto therefore I'm unsure whether the 7 day pass would be worth it as I'm not sure the local travels will cost $135+. If there is an alternative, please advise. Thank you!

Hi there,
It is best to buy normal tickets when you only travel one way. A JR Pass would be better if you make a return.
Have a good trip!
