Planning about 17 days trip in Oct. Unsure of which pass should I buy.

27 Oct - 1 Nov : Kyoto with a day trip to Himeji
1 Nov - 6 Nov : Nagoya (trip to Takayama & Kiso Valley)
6 Nov : Kobe for 1 night
7 Nov - 12 Nov : Osaka

Please kindly advise.

Thanks,
Astrid

Hi there,

There's not really a regional pass that covers your itinerary, because travel to Kyoto and Himeji is on the JR West network and to Nagoya and Takayama is on the JR Central network. That said, you may want to look at using a 7 day Japan Rail Pass. It could help you make savings if you were to use it for travel to Himeji and back on the Shinkansen, then travel to Nagoya, Takayama and Kobe before the pass expires.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
