Hi

I am seeing if it is worth getting the JR pass for my itinerary, as I am finding it hard to see if the JR Pass covers certain routes. My route is as below in June

20 Tokyo
21 Tokyo
22 Tokyo to Nikko to Tokyo
23 Tokyo to Lake Kawaguchiko to Tokyo
24 Tokyo to Hakone
25 Hakone
26 Hakone to kyoto
27 Kyoto
28 Kyoto
29 Kyoto to Nara to kyoto
30 Kyoto
1 Kyoto - Hiroshima
2 Hiroshima - Myrajami - Hiroshima
3 Osaka
4 Osaka - Kobe - Osaka
5 Osaka

Thanks in advance

Hi there,

Yes, a 14 day JR Pass would be great here. It would not cover all your travels (I'll go into detail below) but you'd still make good savings using the pass.

Parts that would require extra travel are Kawaguchiko/Hakone, see:
https://www.jrpass.com/blog/itinerary-tip-mt-fuji

All other travel would be covered, including the Ferry to Miyajima.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
