Hello there, two of us are coming to Japan for 3 weeks in April/May 2026 April. Our travel plans are:
Narita-Central Tokyo 30 April
Tokyo-Osaka 6 May
Osaka-Hiroshima 11 May
Hiroshima-Kumamoto 14 May
Kumamoto-Nagasaki 16 May
Nagasaki-Kyoto 18 May
Kyoto-Narita 21 May
Should we buy a 21 day JR pass and will this cover all the routes and stations we need to visit please?

Yes, the Nationwide JR Pass covers your itinerary. You could use a 21-day JR Pass and also visit some places near Tokyo while you are there. However, if you only stay within Tokyo for the first part of your trip, the best option would be to combine a 14-day JR Pass (valid from 6–19 May) with individual tickets for the remaining days.
