Hi there,

Based on your trip and provided data, I recommend buying normal rail tickets as you travel.

You can do a bit of a circle Tokyo - Nagano, then Nagano - Kyoto (via Kanazawa), then a quick hop over to Kobe and finally a direct train to Tokyo.

The JR Pass could be considered for convenience, as it does cover travel between all the cities that you plan to visit.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Really appreciate would you recommend the Osaka-Tokyo Hokuriku Arch Pass or the national JR pass? Thanks very much

Hi Nat,

Based on your timings, neither pass would be useful here.

As per my first post, normal tickets would be your best option.

Kind regards,
Daniel
