Trying to work out whether a Japan Rail Pass is cost effective

I would really be grateful for some advice on my following itinerary in terms of whether a Japan Rail Pass would save me money. I've using a combination of train and bus travel (which I don't think is covered by the JRP) so trying to work if buying a pass is cost effective. Many thanks in advance.

Fri 26th Oct 2018- Tokyo to Nagiso
Saturday 27th Oct 2018- Nagiso to Matsumoto
Monday 29th Oct 2018- Matsumoto to Takayama by bus
Wednesday 31st Oct 2018- Takayama to Kanazawa by bus
Friday 2nd Nov 2018- Kanazawa to Kyoto
Wednesday 7th Nov 2018- Kyoto to Tokyo

Hi there,

It would be cheaper to buy normal tickets for this route (since you travel by bus a lot) and some of the routes would not be covered by the JR Pass.
