I am planning to travel to Japan from January 19 2019 to February 2 2019. I will arrive Tokyo on January 19 leaving to Kyoto on January 24 and then go to Hakuba ski resort on January 27 and back to Tokyo on January 31. Should I purchase JR 14 days pass ?

For your trip it will be cheaper to buy normal tickets. This is because the amount of trips you make is limited and it would simply cost less to travel this route using normal tickets.
